School today
Got to see all my friends in our strange uniforms. That was cool. Otherwise today was pretty dull.
I have all the same art teachers that I had last year, that’s nice :)
But my classics teacher… Oh god.
I took classics because I knew I’d be able to learn it well because it’s a subject that I would be interested in and I can retain facts well. I was also keen because I knew that both classics teachers at school are both super passionate about their subject and I love learning from teachers like that (my art history teacher is a perfect example)
BUT
Today on the stairs I am walking up with my friend Jess and this teacher Ms X walks past. I said hi because she was my form teacher and Japanese teacher two years ago (she is a small blond Caucasian lady, not actually Japanese). I used to be an avid Japanese language student, UNTIL I had this woman as my teacher. Don’t get me wrong, she is a lovely person and hilarious to talk to (there was this whole “Marcel the builder” saga) but it was because of her fondness of talking that made me lose interest in the subject.
ANYWAY, after my greeting on the stairs she goes “Oh! I have you in my class!”
And I go, “Oh cool. Wait… what class….?” very suspiciously because I do not take japanese any longer and didn’t think she would teach any of the multiple art subjects I take or calculus.
“Classics!” She says.
CLASSICAL STUDIES. The subject I was lead to believe that only had two teachers and both of which were very passionate about their subject.
I like her as a person I really do… But her teaching abilities really aren’t that great… When they appointed her as international dean it really made me happy because she would be good at that and it would mean she had less classes.

we will work through it together holding each others hands and subtly taking the piss out of her
